What’s the difference between the two versions?

They share the same POS core. GREENGRID Desktop is a Windows app for one shop with one till, and it’s available now. GREENGRID Cloud is the hosted, multi-terminal version with real-time stock sync, a customer-facing display, dedicated hosting and support for custom integrations. It isn’t launched yet.

What does GREENGRID Desktop cost?

Essential is LKR 40,000 per year, paid once. If you’d rather spread it out, you can pay LKR 10,000 per quarter instead (4 × LKR 10,000). Each quarterly payment gets you a license for that quarter only, 3 months, and you renew it each quarter. Custom is priced by the features you ask for, so the price varies. Message us on WhatsApp and we’ll tell you which fits.

Is there a free trial?

Yes, GREENGRID Desktop comes with a 3-day free trial so you can try it in your shop before you pay. Message us on WhatsApp to get started.

What is the Custom option?

Custom is for customers who need specific features in their system. And available for both Desktop and Cloud editions. Tell us what you need and we’ll quote a price based on those features.

What will GREENGRID Cloud cost?

It’s a yearly fee, and you also pay for hosting and a domain on top of it, because every customer gets dedicated hosting. The yearly price hasn’t been announced yet.

Is there a monthly plan?

No monthly plan. GREENGRID Cloud is a one-year contract. GREENGRID Desktop can be paid yearly or quarterly.

Does GREENGRID Desktop need an internet connection?

Yes. It installs on your PC, but it needs a connection to run. That connection is also how your data gets backed up to the cloud each day.

Can I switch from Desktop to the cloud version later?

The cloud version hasn’t launched, so we haven’t published a migration process yet. If you’re planning ahead, get in touch and we’ll tell you where things stand.
